Local Action Plan 2018-2025

Achieving the objective of Woodstock’s Action Plan would mean that the level of corporate GHG emissions for the year 2025 be at 1,771.4 tons of eq. CO2. This is a decrease of 410.4 tons from the 2016 emissions level of 2,181.8 tons of eq. CO2. This represents a potential reduction of 18.8%, which is 0.8 percentage points above the target of 18.0% and 17.7 tons more than the targeted reduction of 392.7 tons.

The goal of the Town of Woodstock’s Community Action Plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 7% by 2025 and 14% by 2035 from their 2015 baseline.

For Woodstock, the emissions calculated for the year 2015 allow us to estimate the reductions required to reach the target set by the Community's action plan to approximately 3 733.4 tons or 7% by 2025 and 7 466.8 tons or 14% by 2035.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Achieving  the objective of Woodstock’s Action Plan would mean that the level of community GHG emissions for the year 2025 be at 49 270 tons of eq. CO2. This is a decrease of 4 065 tons from the 2015 emissions level of 53 335  tons of eq. CO2. This represents a potential reduction of 7.6%, which is 0.6 percentage point above the target of 7% and 331.5 tons more than the targeted reduction of 3 733.4 tons.

The goal of the Town of Woodstock’s Corporate Action Plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 18% by 2025 from their 2016 baseline.

For Woodstock, the emissions calculated for the year 2016 allow us to estimate the reductions required to reach the target set by the Municipality's action plan to approximately 392,7 tons or 18%.

 

Analysis of the Outcome of the Action Plan

Project Portfolio

Projects completed prior to the adoption of the Action Plan (Early Actions) 

Some projects have been completed or initiated by the Town of Woodstock between the reference year of the inventory (2016) and the year of adoption of the action plan presented (2018). These early actions have contributed to the municipality's effort to reduce corporate GHG emissions.

The action plan identified the completion of one (1) project whose estimated reductions were estimated at 81.2 tons of CO2 equivalent.

 

The most recent measures, technologies and programs have been analyzed and evaluated. They form the basis of the action plans produced by YHC Environnement. Then, based on the 2016 inventory data, as well as the characteristics and needs of the Town of Woodstock, the development of the Project Portfolio was completed.

The action plan contains twelve (12) projects whose potential reductions are estimated at 329.3 tons of CO2 equivalent.
